Afatinib is a targeted medicine used in the treatment of Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer with EGFR mutation.
Inform your doctor if any of the following occurs:
It should be taken on an empty stomach, either 1 hour before or 3 hours after food. Take it around the same time each day.
If you miss a dose of Afatinib, you can take it as soon as you remember if there is at least 8 hours before the next dose. However, if there is less than 8 hours before the next dose, skip the dose and take the next dose at the usual time. Do not double dose.
If you overdose on this medicine, inform your doctor immediately.
Do not break or crush the tablet.
